Rem chokes

I've got a rem choke slug barrel (unrifled), it came with an ic and rifled choke. I get that the ic choke is mainly suitable for foster slugs but what's the rifled one for? Buckhammers?

The rifled choke is for sabot type slugs. I have heard they work fair in giving a little spin to these type of slugs. The imp cyl choke is as you said for Foster style rifled slugs.

Ditto Iceman. You can try each of the tubes with fosters (imp. cyl. choke) and the sabots (rifled tube) and see what ever combination works best with the tightest grouping. If you are not satisfied with either, then the only other option is a fully rifled barrel, but they are almost as much as the gun themselves.
