Rem Core Lokt Ultra performance on large game

I have always had good results with Core lokts, better than Win power points..Used them on ALOT of animals....

we almost lost a bear this year over them as there was no bleeding at all...

Where was it hit???I find that fall bear are usually so fat, that it makes finding blood difficult in many cases....

The Ultra is bonded. I've shot a large cow moose with a 175gr "regular" CoreLokt in a 7mm Rem Mag. Had completed penetration on a broadside heart shot exiting through the off side leg. I mostly use TSX/TTSX these day but I wouldn't be too worried with your choice of bullet.

I have killed two moose with Corelokt Ultras. Neither went far enough to worry about bloodtrailing. If you hit him right you you will have no worry

Used the regular CoreLokt on moose for years with great success. Bang flops, lots of blood, lots of vital organs that were no longer vital. If dead moose could talk they would say to use something else. ;)

Just remembered I had a box Woodleigh Welcores still in the cabinet......they're probably getting used over the Core Lokt Ultras. I'll bury CLU in the ammo cupboard and find them again in a few years....itll be like Christmas

Aslong as those 200gr Silvertips arnt the "new" silvertips.... Those Nosler Ballistic Silvertips are at best a light deer projectile IMO.
