i currently have a remington sendero with the desert tan hs precision stock and like the feel of it, but now i want to restock my rem 700 sps tactical.

initially i was just going to buy an hs precision stock identical to my sendero one, but am now contemplating a robertson general purpose hunter as it looks like a close match to the hs style that i like.

i've read that ian's stocks are top notch, but have never handled one, so if anybody has one, i would greatly appreciate some insight.

thanks

There are take-off HS stocks offered here all the time. I think one of the dealers in AB has some. Nothing wrong with an HS, but the Robertson is in a different class.

I think the stock I used for my rifle was his general purpose hunter. Very nice stock, and extremely light. I bought it off him 2 years ago, Ian is a really nice guy and makes real quality stuff.
I also have a 700P with the HS precision stock, there is no comparison the robertson is a much nicer unit.

actually my sendero had a lone wolf palma stock or something like that when i bought it.
i bought the hs takeoff from my local gunshop after trying to use the palma stock for hunting, but it just wasn't comfy to carry or shoulder, but it was nice at the range:)
i want to try something different, but not if it costs alot more than the hs stock does at around $300.00 ish.
never mind my question on pricing, i just found the pdf on the website, things are looking good:)

Hmm, a Lon Horiuchi-endorsed product from the US or a Canadian-made product from a world-class stock maker?
