Nope... the M40 (Vietnam era) used a wooden stock. McMillan makes fiberglass stocks (like on the M40a1 and M40a3). Unless you can find an original vintage stock - with no checkering or other embelishments, a few people have taken to modifying "older" ADL stocks by sanding out the checkering, etc... You can also go the Accurate Innovations route and get them to make one up for you (if they still have the program for it). They made a batch in the M40 profile a while back - but with the addition (for the better) of an aluminum bedding block... HTH's

PS. Although Remington did make some M40 commemorative rifles in the past, they were a limited production and no "spare parts" were ever released for public consumption. So contacting them for a stock would more than likely be fruitless...
