I have been contemplating getting rid of my Model 7 in 7mm saum but since I have stockpiled 25 boxes of factory ammo(Big sale last year at Epps) I think I'm going to keep it. The main thing I dislike about the rifle is the synthetic stock. I'm wondering if it would fit into a Laminate mountain rifle stock. Has anyone attempted this? Also is there anyone who produces laminate stock for the model seven?
Thanks
Billy

Model 700 stocks won't fit the Model 7. I haven't checked if they do the M7 but the obvious suggestion if you're looking for a laminate stock would be Boyds.

Remington did make Model Seven LS rifles, Im sure there's a few rifles out there kickin around to buy, take the stock from, and sell

billyc, here is what a Model 7 laminate stock looks like. This one is on my Model 7 in .300 SAUM. Before it was mine a Limbsaver was added and the LOP was adjusted to 12 1/2" .It looks a lot nicer than the synthetic stock on my Model 7 Stainless in .260 Rem, but I hate to carry it in the bush, for fear it will get scarred up.I agree that the laminate stocks look nicer, but I'm afraid that the synthetics stocks strike me as being more practical.
