Rem Mtn Rifle Questions

I am considering the purchase of a Rem 700 Mtn Rifle DM and would like to know:

The Rem website says this rifle's action is "based" on the 7 series (the rifle is called the Rem 700). Is this action going to be the strong 700 variety?

I have a set of bases for the Rem 700 action. Will they fit the Rem 700 Mtn Rifle DM?

The action on the mtn rifle is the same tru blue MDL 700 action.Your bases will work as well as long as they are for MDL 700s.RB
