Rem Thunderbolt????

The number of reported failure to fires absolutely astounds me!! Maybe I have been lucky, or maybe I am watched over, but for all the 22 ammo I shoot, I cannot remember the last time I had a dud. For plinking, I have shot Remmy t-bolts, Win Wildcats, PMC, CCI, Aguila, Federal, Sportco, you name it. Nary a fail-to-fire. Of course, I have shot a truckload of Match ammo as well, and don't expect problems with it, and have not had any. Maybe some of these rimfires have light hammer springs?? I don't know, just wondering what is going on. Regards, Eagleye.

i've never had a ftf from my stock 10/22 with any ammo. tbolts were of course, really dirty and wouldn't group for sh*t. now i finally found what it likes and thats pmc sidewinders or zapper, but seeing as how zappers are $5 more per brick than sidewinders and the performance is the same, i always go for the sidewinders. a brick is around $18 or $19 at the store i shot at in hamilton.

All of my rimfires love the American Eagle 38 grain copper wash, and I have a decent selection of rifles, Rem 66, Marlin 39A, BRNO 2E, Win 490, Win 69A,.Just so you know Wholesale is still selling cases of it for $134.99. The new price when its raised will likely be closer to $200.00.FS

[/IMG]out of 6 different typs of ammo tested they include win wildcat 40 GR LRN high velosity ,win super X 40GR copper plated LRN high velosity, win super X 40 gr T 22 Target standard velocity LRN, Fedeal game shok 40 GR high velosity copper plated LRN ,CCI standard velocity 40 GR LRN,and REM 40 GR high velocity thunderbolts LRN .
THE thunderbolts came a very very close second, only better group was the CCI standards ,and the groups were so close its rilly to close to call and with the extra velosity of the thunderbolts for now that is what ill be useing.
all tests were from bench shooting 25 yds ,for groups .useing my brand new savage mark II BV 3 days old today and a pic of the target using the thunder bolts

The failure to fire was from the light bolt strikes from my papoose and only with Am Eagle rounds and they all fired when hit by the pin from the Winchester pump.
As for the thunderbolts It may have been -10 outside but the gun and ammunition were still warm from just stepping out the back door so I still think the ammo is wierd.
As for accuracy 5 shot groups were about 3/4" at 15yds from a sitting position.so not bad. But really dirty cases and the bore was black after only like 20 shots.
