Rem870 Left hand safety?

Speaking as a lefty... Don't do it.

Every other shotgun you handle will have a RH safety. Every friend you borrow a gun from, or lend one to, will either have or be used to a RH safety.

It's not as simple as a user installable part (as far as I know), but I know on older 870 trigger groups it IS possible.

I bought a jumbo safety for my benelli m4, and you can install it as LH or RH, and I still install it as RH. Muscle memory is a powerful force to overcome! Just learn to snap the safety off with your thumb as you're shouldering the gun, and it becomes second nature. Re-engaging as you dismount is much easier as well. :)

That being said, if you REALLY want it done, contact Casey at tacord.com. But seriously consider leaving it as is! Just my humble opinion as a lefty that's owned about a thousand RH shotguns. ;)

I'm left eye left hand dominant and LOVE right hand safeties. I can engage it as my finger leaves contact with the trigger after firing.

Have you consider just getting an over sized safety button?

Might be a little more important to DISENGAGE the safety in a easy, timely manner.

Seriously though, Midway carries Fortmann drop-in lefty safeties(but won't ship to Canada), or a gunsmith can convert it but involves drilling new holes in the trigger group housing.
I think I saw one at Numrich too, but their 25$ per order fee makes my orders from them a little less often now.
