Anyone in Canada seen any newly released Remarms 870’s hitting the shelves yet? Been looking at shotguns in person and online but might be holding out for a fresh new 870.

I recently inquired with a dealer and was told that although the 870 will be the first Remarms product, they still had no ETA on them. I was actually asking about new production 700s and that's even more far out.

Ya, other than a few posts/reviews on the internet or YouTube there’s not much info yet it seems. I’ve asked at a couple dealers as well and some didn’t even realize they went bankrupt.

That thread has a couple of people claiming they’re NOS from the the US and not new RemArms. Gravel has been absolutely silent on RemArms, I would think they would be trumpeting their triumphant return from the rooftops.

Or maybe Gravel is still negotiating the terms and conditions of their new contract with RemArms ...... :)

RemArms is a new legal entity .... and can choose whoever they want as exclusive distributor and service center in Canada ....

And who knows .... maybe it will not be Gravel .... or RemArms does not want to grant exclusive distribution rights ....

Who knows ....?

For example .... a whole bunch of Tac-14s were imported last year by North Sylva Co and not Gravel Agency ....

Well I'm hoping they start producing parts for existing guns again, as my 1969 wingmaster needs a 14 inch barrel and not for the 400 odd dollars people are asking for them if and when they do pop up..

Youtube channel "Guns News & Reviews" did a review of an all-new RemArms 870 just a couple of days ago, the first I have seen.

The gun is termed "870 Fieldmaster". Apparently Remington decided the race to the bottom was killing them, so they have dropped the Express line entirely and are going with a new line that is about $100 more, but sits noticeably above the bottom, quality-wise. Still not up to old Wingmaster standards, of course.

Gravel will no longer be the exclusive for Remington.
Just another wholesaler.
Big rock is 20x what north sylva is.
I would bet big rock will get them first for Canada

I never paid too much attention to the 870 pricing, was the Express about the same price as a Mossy 500?

Good to know - Will Gravel still be handling warranty?
I Would say, the will likley be a warranty center but likley there will be others, ive been waiting 2 yrs for parts, as have most of the police agancys we deal with.
its going to be busy times, we have been told there will be no parts for 2022

They have never been cheap. $300 was about average well over a decade ago for a factory barrel.

Prices did dip somewhat with the release of Tac 14 but for those barrels only as the weren’t from Police models and are all Cyl and have that Express matte blued finish. Police 14” barrels are parkerized or nicely blued and came predominantly with Mod chokes but Cyl were also regularly encountered.

Interesting void in the market. Thanks for doing your part.

There are still some Versamax's sitting on dealer's shelves ...

There is, I just bought a very modified Tactical model. The original owner unfortunately sold the stock parts. I have been slowly buying stuff as I find it, such as a complete set of choke tubes. Also needed a stock mag cap and spring, found those in the states. Now would like a sporter butt stock as mine is a pistol grip.
