Hi guys, I just inherited a minty (but stored for nearly a decade) 11-87 SP Super Magnum. I've given it the mandatory cleaning and re-oiling for use, and I hope to try it out today!
One thing, and maybe this is just me, being used to my 870 - but the feeding 'flap' sticks and wont elevate alot of the time, it feels jammed or latched. If you press the bolt release, then it will go up and stay sortof 'halfway' in the space between the feeding port and the bolt carrier.
After that, when you pull back the action, it wont always lock in place (with an empty magazine), and will shoot forward.
Has anyone encountered this as a problem or is this just part of the design?
