Remington 1100 and 870 compatibility?

Mag extentions (subject to blocking) interchange. Certain stocks may interchange, but there is a difference due to the recoil spring. Barrels are not interchangeable, and the trigger mechanism is slightly different.

is it possible to throw a S&J stock adapter on there to make it an AR-stock

Definately NOT. The recoil spring on the 1100 extends out the back of the receiver and at a downward angle. There is no ability to put any stock other than one designed for an 1100. Most 870 stocks will not work either. Some are marketed for both, but chances are one made just for an 870 will NOT work.

The S&J will 1000% not work.

side saddle shell holders with work on both and so will most scope mounts that attach through the trigger assembly pin holes.

sometime between jan and march we will be bringing to market system that will allow you to use any stock system you like on a Rem 1100.
This is a joint project S&J hardware has with a US Mfg.
It will be a gunsmith install and you will need the 1100 railed forend we have listed on our website.
Cant really say to much untill closer to the time, we just entered our 4th month of testing.

Can you hint towards an MSRP? It's hard to imagine how a railed forend would be required for an aftermarket stock... Look forward to seeing what you guys come up with.
