Remington 1100 value.

Hi guys. What's the value for a run of the mill 1100 left hander? 20 inch barrel.
Is it possible to find an 18.5 inch barrel?
Its for the missus. Unless someone can recommend something more modern. Or even a semi in 20g.

Also I see parts availability may be an issue further down the road.

There are several in the EE right now, from $650 to $1500 for a Sporting 28 gauge.

Left handed Rem 1100's are hard to come by, but do pop up from time to time (there are none currently listed in the EE).
Mostly 12 gauges, but every now and then a 20 gauge does show up. The LH 20 Ga I bought more than a year ago was close to $2000 , but may be from the Custom Shop as it has exceptional wood. The LH Rem 870 will be easier to find, and less expensive, if a pump is an option for her.

I have not seen one with a 20" or an 18.5" barrel for the 1100.
You would have to search the internet...the last LH Rem shotgun short barrel I found was for a Rem 870 in 12 gauge, and I had to import it from the US for my stepfather's shotgun, so he would have a slug barrel to go with his waterfowl barrel.

Your other options for a LH semi would be Benelli (SBE 3, M2, or Montefeltro), or a Beretta, and possibly a Franchi; there are a few of these in 12 ga on the EE. Benelli does make a LH 20 ga semi now. I have not looked into LH short barrel options for these, so cannot tell if they are an option.
