Hey Guys,
Is there anyone with a Remington 141 Carbine that could give me a measurement from the front of the receiver to the end of the barrel. I want to shorten one I have because she is in rough shape to carbine length but was told the length needed to be accurate as it would affect accuracy in this particular rifle. Everything I read says 18 1/2" but is that from face of receiver or face of bolt block?
Any help to clarify would be great.
Thanks,
Scott...

`I don't have a 141 Carbine, but my 14 Carbine is 18 1/2" from the front of the ejection port (bolt face).. My model 14 rifles measure 22" and the 141's measure 24", also from same point. I don't see more or less having that great of an effect on accuracy though.

Awesome, thank you for taking the time to check that. I didn't think it would make much difference either. It was an older gentleman who was saying he had heard it did.

With iron sights it would make a slight difference (shorter sight radius).

With a scope, accuracy will improve slightly (shorter barrel time).

In the real world, makes no difference. If the crown or muzzle area is bad, it can make a big improvement.
