Went to my LGS yesterday and sure enough this little Rem 141 is still sitting in the back all lonesome……. In .35Rem and Leverloution ammo in the caliber is back on the shelf here, so damn tempted - The owner will take $650, listed at $850, if it wasn’t drilled and tapped it would’ve come home with me but I may have to get over it and use it for what it is. Rifling is so sharp and everything is shiny in the pipe and all the mechanicals seem to function as they should.

They will give me a 30day return policy but only as a store credit, what do y’all think of the ugly duckling? It feels great in hand and without the scope, even better, I’d wager - be a fun Hog gun……

The first one I ever saw was in a shop in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. They only wanted $40 for it, but we had a newborn son to take care of, and I had to think about that. When I went back, it was gone.

No problem. Family first, always! :)

I have a pair of Rem 141 rifles in 30 and 35 Rem chamberings. Both of mine are drilled and tapped for a Lyman receiver sight and as Mike Webb suggested I would prefer the receiver sight for hunting purposes but that is strictly a personal preference with me.
I like the rifles and yours being in 35 Rem will be much easier to find ammunition for than say the one I have in 30 Rem. Both of my rifles tend to be a bit quirky, for lack of a better term, when it comes to cycling rounds. I find they work better when you cycle them with some authority much like some of the lever guns I've owned.
Nice looking rig and they carry well and are in general good shooting rifles in my opinion.
