Remington 1740 - Myth? Legend?

Remington 1740: a double-barreled pump 12 gauge shotgun. Made by fusing a left-ejecting Remington 870 to a right-ejecting Remington 870.

I haven't seen nor heard of it being done with 870's, but not surprised.

I know Bill Laughridge (Cylinder and Slide) made the Irimu. Twin Remington 1100's (left and right actions).

I wonder how the CFC would look at the Irimu based on mag capacity. Would it be considered 1 gun with a legal allowable mag limit of 5 or would they allow 5 each?

2 guns, they each have a serial number, so 5 rds each in the mag tube.
