I bought some Speer Hot-cor bullets today, .358 250 grain Spitzers and they look exactly the same as the factory reloaded Remingtons that I have. Does anybody know the difference or are they the same bullet? I wasn't overly impressed with the performance of the Remington bullet this fall so if it's just a Hot-cor, I'm going to move on to something else like a Hornady Interlock.

Best regards,

You will have no complaints with the 250gr Speers. They have been very accurate in every 35cal I have shot them in and have a very good reputation as a big game bullet. I didn't even try any other bullets in mine.

Remington uses their own bullets, except in the premium ammo lines. I would be VERY surprised to find out that the 250gr loading was a Speer bullet.

The 250 grain Speer's are very accurate in my 35 Whelen A.I. as well. I haven't shot any game with them yet but they always get good performance reviews from what I have read on here from other hunters.
