Anyone know what a 40x .22 from the Remington custom shop goes for? Also how would they rank against a 1913 Anschutz?

Thanks

Approx $2500-3000. What do you mean by rank?? Accuracy? Suitability for the same shooting discipline? Fit and finish ? As tomato stakes - both would do the job equally well, just depends whether you wish German or American flavoured beefsteaks.

mmmmm

I have a 40x in the green stock, nice about 3300 or more with import and tax

the annie is nice but nothing special,

the remington is more a full blown benchgun (but my hall or swindlehurest is a little better in my humble opinion) but I just had to have one

need to know your needs as the custom shop has different rifles for different purposes, and the annie has different stocks on the 1900 series platform and we do not know if the annie is original stock

Well I guess Ill keep looking and building up my budget. Im only going to be doing fun bench matches but want a quality rifle. What would be the advantages and disadvantages of going with a 40x over the Anschutz? What about in the used market? Any reason not to look at the 40x?

benchrest fun matches eh !

for fun matches get a cooper trp3 (I have 3 2 in wood)

I do not want to tell you what is wrong with the 40x until I shoot and sell mine then I confess all,

the TRP3 will get you a nice stock, nice ss barrel, get a trigger and a tuner and it will probably shoot better than you can for 2 years,

(instead of saying I am a jerk-o-la think about it, do you have windflags?
do you have a 800$ front rest, do you have a edgewood rear bag, have you shot free recoil, do you know how to test ammunition properly, and do you like to have ### on wednesdays ?? ) try to smile out there will you guys

not trying to be a smarty pants but,

1. you are shooting CASUAL BR (you want to perform but may not own all the equipment to get the best out of your rifle)

2. I do not know your equipment and if it has been properly prepared (case in point, a husband and wife went to phoenix a couple of weeks ago to shoot in the centerfire BR match called the cactus, their front rest was not "tuned" properly and a friend had to be a bag squeezer for the match instead of using a joystick, hard to do and this couple has shot screamers and competed for 20 plus years SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS JUST CAUSE YOU BEEN AROUND DOES NOT MEAN YOU KNOW POOP.

please take this the right way as I have a dozen real rimfire br guns and a dozed centerfire real BR guns and like to travel,

the used market is OK just be careful, try to buy from a known selleer or a known shooter, hopefully they are honest,

I have bought guns in the USA from jody reed, jim williams and others, if you buy right you get right,
if you buy junk you get junk, be careful,

having said that most rimfire br guys are honest, there is a club out your way and not sure who to contact but they may PM you,

have fun and welcome to BR and hang onto your wallet

At one time I had two Anschutz Match 22 rimfires, both were on 54 actions. Accurate, yes. Then I acquired a 40X [Actually from Jefferson on here] I promptly sold off both of my Annies, since the 40X outshot both of them. Awesome rimfire, IMHO. My Suhl will shoot even better than the 40X, but the difference is not as great as between the 40X and the Annies. Posted is a typical 50M target from the 40X. The groups are 10 shots each. Which Edgewood bag would you recommend? Ive been looking at them for a while anyways. Also I know the Sinclair with windage rest isnt top of the line but what do you all think of it? I was also thinking about a Cowan.
