Just sold the old 10/22 and want to buy a 22 mag thats semi auto. Remingtons are about all I can find and they have a reg and heavy barrel. Trying to find out if or which one is accurate enough to buy(.5 moa). I dont want to wait forever for a Volquartsen.

mine is over MOA. Some batches of ammo can bring it close to 1MOA but not quite. Many groups will show the same story, excellent holes close and touching, but couple fliers that ruin the picture. I think this is generally true for any 22WMR rifle and more of an inherent cartridge accuracy. 0.5MOA from production rifle is a dream, let alone 22WMR, get real, this is the field of custom benchrest rigs.
I totally agree on the .5 thing, I only have one rifle that will do it and it was $6800 haha. I guess my other question is if yours is the heavy barrel or not, what ammo you liked the most. I would not think the heavy barrel would make a diff but I've not had much to do with them on a rimfire rifle.
