Remington 597 magazine disassembly

So I've been trying to figure out how to disassemble the metal 597 magazines, without success. Apparently the instructions in the manual are for the old plastic mags (the metal ones simply don't flex at all so squeezing does nothing), and while I've read that a flathead screwdriver wedged in the base will do the trick, it's not happening for me. I've searched around but couldn't find more detailed instructions on how to pry this beast apart.

Anyone have any tips (or better yet, pics) of the mag disassembly process?

Put your flat screwdriver down the side up of the plastic cap right beside where the mag swell is. Push down slightly then pry outward. They have a small plastic nub which keeps them on, but once you push it a little bit it will pop off. I'll take some pictures and post them up later.
