I have a 597 vtr. I have already changed the buttstock to a commercial buffer tube and mounted a DPMS Panther Pardus buttstock. Going to switch to magpul as soon as I find the right priced one.
Now i'm working on the forend and can't find any info. Has anybody changed their's and if so what did you use. I have a chance to by a magpul 12 inch forend but i'm not sure if it will work as it looks to install by snapping in as opposed to screwing on.
