So I would like to hear some of your opinions on the Remington 673 guide rifle. Calibres I would be interested in hearing about are the 350 Rem mag, and the 300 RUM.

What do you guys think of this rifle and calibers?

Thinking of adding another to the collection and thought this might be fun to play with.

Thanks :D

take a loot at the new model 7 CDL. they come in the 350re mag and the 300 saum. i think they look way better with out the shark fin sight and laminated stock.

I'm with Sask_hunter, the new Model Seven CDL is a much MUCH nicer looking rifle

the 300saum is a great cartridge, I owned one for a short time, and the 350 Rem Mag is a real great medium range thumper for anything you'll find in Canada

Got a best bud that got one of the first ones into Canada back in 03. It's in 350 RemMag and it's crazy powerful (250s @ 2650+)when properly hand fed (ya gotta handload 4 this calibre I think) and quite accurate (3/4" 3shots@100 repeatable).

It's heavier than the original light M600 by about a 1lb. or so. Great gun if U like the look.

I'm with the rest on the new M7 CDL in 350 RemMag (shorter 20" tube) being more interesting to me - this week anywho.

Thanks guys. I actually dont mind the look of the 673. But yes, the model 7 cdl is a nice looking rifle.

Just throwing around a few ideas for something different to play with.

Thanks again

the 350 mag is nice but the rifle is but ugly and overweight. if you sharpened the frt sight it would make a good can opener. and yes the cdl is nice.

Personally I like the look of the 673 over the 7.
I handled one a while ago and thought it a nice, quick pointing rifle.
I'm tempted to buy one but I really, really, really want an original 600 in 350 mag.

I have two 660's one in 6.5 Rem Mag and one in 350. The calibers are great and the 6.5 could make use the 2 extra inches of barrell that the 673 delivers.

The 673 is just too heavy in my opinion. Even the 350 can be shot comfortably in a lighter rifle like the original 600.
