Looking for info on the remington 673, anyone have one or know anything about them? Is this a rifle worth buying? Any comments would be welcome!

I've never fired one but handled a couple of them at one of our local shops. Stock looks good handled well for me, action is Remington all the way what can one say.
First thing that went through my mind, what would it take to remove the rib and front sight? They do stand out alright but that way they came to bear very well when checking out the sight picture. So why take em off?
Remingtons reputation as to accuracy should not be any different than the rest of the line up. If it turns your crank, BUY IT !!!

I love mine in .350 rem mag. I did a little work, free float, bed and a new trigger. I love this gun and it will be one that I keep till i die( or they take it away). So i thought putting some money into it would be worth it.

The factory trigger sucked, but I had a gunsmith drop a trigger in for about $120.00. What a difference.

I love the stock and the gun fits me perfect.

I shot two deer with it this fall, whitetail doe @ 60yards and a 4x4 mulie @ 210.

I loved packing the gun in the tight stuff. I like the look of the vented barrell. I have left the front sight on and removed the rear to give enough clearance for the scope.

I had a 3200, 3x9x 40 on it, But I decided to go with a 1.5 x 6 x 32 leupold and i found that the smaller scope looked better and balanced the rifle out.

hope this helps.

Got a best buddy who bought one of the first ones into Canada back in 2003. He loves his. With 250 Speer grand slams he's been repeatably makin 2700MV using ReL 15 (chronographed) with MOA. Sounds impossible but that's the way it is. He makes similar velocity with W748 too but accuracy isn't up to snuff. As always your mileage may differ. Shoots 225s accurately too.

Looks like 60s M600 but a much more substantial rifle with an extra 1lb. or so approx. because of extra barrel length and steel parts instead of plastic (rib/floorplate etc.) as in the M600.

Very handsome rifle!

Like the Rem 788 it's a "great idea " rifle that's probably going to be discontinued before too long... :(

the 673 is just a Model Seven...I don't think they'll discontinue the Model Seven any time soon....thank God they discontinued the 788...what a piece of crap....I'd rather have a 710 myself.
