Remington 700 338 Lapua.

Is it possible to build a 338 Lapua on a "standard" Remington 700 long action (300 win mag)? I know the bolt face is too small but PTG made long action one piece bolt with a Lapua bolt face (.590). The "standard" long action receiver is the one used by Remington to build there 338 Lapua?

You could build it on a 30-06 action if you alter or replace the bolt. The action rails require alteration in either case and the magazine box and follower replaced. A little less alteration on an Ultra Mag action.
