Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you guys could direct me to the best 700 SA Bottom Metal and where I could get one? I have recently purchased a Mcmillan A5 stock and it is inletted for standard Remington BDL bottom metal. Thanks in advance.

*EDIT* It seems that I have mistaken the bottom metal with detachable magazines. I am looking at what the best detachable magazines manufacturer for the Remington 700 SA so that I can use AICS compatible magazines (maybe some of the new Magpul ones).

I bought an Atlasworx (from Australia) was a great price, takes AI mags and shipped super fast. I did the inletting myself however(on the 5r stock) with the Dremel and drill. Works perfect!

I have an ATRS bottom metal installed in my McMillan A5. They are top notch equipment and they install it very cleanly. I had mine made to work with AICS double stack AW mags. The mags fit tight with very little wiggle/rattle. Their price may seem on the high side, but you're getting the quality and craftsmanship to go with it. For me, it was a no-brainer to have their bottom metal put in the custom they built for me.

I also have a PTG bottom metal that I put into my .223 in a B&C stock. It uses the polymer AI .223 mags. There is more rattle when the mag is in the well, but it functions as it should.

Hey JNA, if you go with any of the DBM kits that use AICS mags, you will need to have your stock inletted for the M5 profile. I believe ATRS' DBM price includes inletting and one magazine.

Anyone have any experience with CDI precision?

I just got one of these for my 700 from Jerry over at Mystic precision

Great product at a great price, and looks good too
