Remington 700 7mm08 Varget data 140g

Hey do any of you blokes shoot a 7mm08 in the Rem 700?
mate off youtube "aussiebushharvest" shoots a 7-08, but factory corelokts... long story short in a raffle we do in a deer camp, i donated a box of woodleighs, an he won that prize... beauty.

he is visiting this week and im going to reload some for him to use on the Sambar when he visits Victoria state from time to time, can just stick the Woodleighs in on top of mag for 2 rounds an follow up with Corelokts- if all goes to plan with being in ball park vertically. ABH bush stalks so im hoping to get a load thats bang on at 100m or so with his current Corelokt Zero.

Winchester LR primers-
hes got RP brass.
and 140gr Woodleighs particularly but all good for 140g please

Any hot tips here?

* obviously i load a kimber 7-08 but i expect chalk an cheese in results- mines a min load.

About 42gn Varget and 2800fps with a 140gn bullet.

Most accurate load I ever had in my hunting 7mm-08 was RL19 behind a Hornady 139 gr bullet. Around 49 gr if I remember correctly. Work up though. - dan

I switched to it when I couldn't buy RL19 anymore. Not quite as accurate, but it worked. Considering how hard it is to get now, I think I will be trying something else, again. I did some early work with Win 760, maybe I will go that direction again.- dan
