Ok so this is the first time I shot this rifle so remember that some groups will not be as tight as they can be. I am going back out during the holidays to do a follow up shoot to compare the results. I complete in CQB with an AR-15 and this is the first time using a .308 bolt gun, so the build for me was exciteing lol. Based on the results (5 shot groups 100yrds)and what I was feeling the S&B felt and SMELLS great !!!! I was trying super hard to get good groups I took 1min per round and 2 min between companies of cool off time to make it fair. At the end I choose the top 2 and did a 5 round shoot off to make sure, I can shoot and the barrel is not playing games with accuracy as I go along ( no cleaning ). The AAC is torqued to 60 FYI.... The recoil impulse felt great with the Magpul stock. The Magpul mags worked perfect. I will try a sub 1/2 moa with S&B next outing. Hope this helps. #2 is 175 Federal GMM #3 is S&B

Thanks heyrosco !!!! I will be out there soon to give the Hornady another shot. After I find out the true best ammo for the gun. A 5 shot 5 group will be done....

I commend you for sourcing out and using a good assortment of quality ammunition. Never understood why someone would go through the trouble and expense of putting a precision rifle together and then feed it American Eagle and the like. Kudos.

Looks like you have a great shooter there!

Next time reverse the ammo shooting orders I have seen some guns really good warm then loosen up when hot

A great range report. Nice work and documentation!

Now just to bump up you target preparation skills, head to the Dollar Store (or Dollarama) and find a "bingo dabber" in whatever colour you prefer. I like using RED since I can easily "quarter" it with my crosshairs (mil dot reticle on Mark4) and still see my bullet holes through my 20 or 14x scope.

Thanks for that report on the AAC - SD.

Cheers!

Hey Rocco
Thanks for the ammo report.

Now I have a question about the stock switch - was it as smooth as they advertise? Take off the Hogue stock and the Magpul drops right in?
Or did you have to do any Dremel work?

Thanks

The stock went in super easy. Just as easy as the factory stock went off, just as easy to drop it in the Magpul stock. Just remember to half tighten the stock slam it down on the butt stock to seat it then tighten it to spec. I used 60 in lbs. some actions might be 50 some might be 55 etc.
