remington 700 difference?

hey guys, how do i tell the difference between the different models of the remington 700? im mainly interested in knowing what mine is. its an all black with black synthetic stock 30-06 caliber but i dont see any other markings on it identifying it as a police or other. heres a pic of it, what should i look for on it to learn more about it?

The 700 Action is the same on all 700's aside from long action/short action, and bolt face.

However, many different barrel and stock options. Some say the quality of the 700's were better a few years back.

Yours looks like an SPS, Special Purpose Synthetic.

Their website will show you bundles of options.
 
from my visit to the remington site id agree with both of you guys. although they offer 2 or 3 different sps models. not sure what the differences were, i noticed one of them had an upgraded trigger. i know the original owner swapped the trigger out on mine
 
this is an sps with adl style magazine (blind mag) so if you change stock make sure it is fitted for an adl and not bdl or dm
 
Thanks for the info guys. Chances are i won't touch the stock for a while. I like this one but some of the tactical ones look really cool so who knows :)
