Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder........
Some Folks Love the Look of Thumbholes, some Hate em.
I personnally like the Look, I just don';t like the Feel/fit of them.

It is a Fine Looking Rifle:cool:

Sorry dewd, for being the first to hijack your thread. :(

That's the way it happens here on CGN. Don't take so personally, as I didn't say you were yuk, just the silver thumbhole thingy. Besides, if you knew me a bit better, you know I was joking anyways, that's why I posted the pic of the pumpgun, cuz I like them, yucky as they are.
:)

you will be very happy with it. It is a good choice of a all around caliber. In regards to better of a cheaper scope don't go to cheap. The recoil form the 06' is firm. You want something that will stand up. My preference is Leupold but they are pricier. The VXII would be the cheapest I would go there. The Bushnell 3200's are allright and that would be the cheapest I would go in a Bushnell.

I'm a huge fan of Remingtons... but IMHO I think what would've really dressed up this rifle for me would be a nice factory checkered pepper laminate in the Classic style with a similar recoil pad. Now that would've got me to "ew & ah" about it. I really don't care for the stock above, myself.

My guess is it will shoot like any Remington 700 in 30-06. Reasonable in stock form, better with tweeking.;) (trigger, bedding, etc) Don't go too cheap on the scope, you'll regret it.
