I’m looking at upgrading to a detachable mag system for my 700 in 6.5 Creedmoor.
I’m looking at the ones on Pacific Tool and Gauge and am looking to go with metal trigger guard and want to be able to use AICS mags. Which is the best model to get and is there a better/cheaper option other than these guys.
Also my stock is HS Precision and realize I am going to have to modify it.

I believe there is a drop-in DBM that HS Precision makes for their stocks so no modifications are necessary although I believe it uses proprietary mags. Most of the PTG DBMs are basically copies of the Badger M5 (and use the same inlet) and unless you're quite handy, it's probably best to get someone to properly inlet your stock. Stiller make a nice DBM that uses AICS mags that is actually easy to install yourself as it requires very minimal inletting (that you can do with a Dremel) and by design hides your rough inletting job with a flange on the mag well. I installed one on a Boyd's Pro Varmint years ago and it was easy to install and worked great.

Check out Atlasworx, we have been using them since years and very happy with them. They have a few versions for the Rem 700 SA.

I ended up going with a Legacy mag conversion in 6.5 creedmoor from frontier. The price was good and should fit with minimal modifications
I’m not big on the polymer housing but I’m sure it will be fine.
It would have been nice to go AICS mags but this offers 10 rd mags for a lot less money.
Thanks for the help guys

You will find he bolt slides very easy across the polymer, I went Magpul stock and bottom bolt is so slick loading rounds:)

That’s nice to hear. I’m a Glock fan since the late 80’s when I was the first kid on the block with one. I was ridiculed then and still get ribbed now . All because it’s plastic. It’s still going so I think this should be durable as well.
Only thing I was thinking that the steel trigger may do a better job of stiffening up the action better than polymer thus being more accurate. This is just a theory and have no way of proving this.

I have 5 Magpul stocks on my rem's now have no trouble with stiffness for price the stocks are just as good n precision as some twelve hundred dollar tube guns, yours you may want to bed the recoil lug area and float the barrel Chanel .
