This thing is heavy, I mean my finger aches from pulling the trigger 20 times yesterday, not to mention the groups are suffering.

I found a few ressources online for adjusting this beast, Im going to give it a shot and I thought I would check into this forum before going any further. Anybody got any tips/checklists of their own to share ? (Aside from telling me to take it to a pro that's not available locally anyways.)

I dont' think I need (hope) to swap it out fo any replacement triggers, just looking to get it down to 3-4 pounds. There is 3 screws and I own screwdrivers....:D

Don't bother with the gunsmith, the 700 trigger is very easy to adjust. I did mine way back when I had almost no experience taking any kind of action apart.

Just use nailpolish or locktite when the screws have been adjusted to your liking.

There are also some excellent tutorials online.

Screws, you lucky SOB. :(

I shot sixty rounds through my Parker Hale .303 yesterday at an 8lb pull, and while it did well, by the last dozen I was ready to change fingers. :D

Time to get out the dremel.

My glock currently comes in at 8lbs. I am not the most experienced pistol shooter yet, so I'll keep practicing, but I can see myself springing for a disconnector in the future.

The trigger is easy to adjust once you can turn the screws. I had to use a heat gun on both my Rem triggers to get them the screws to turn. They both pull nice and light, break crisp with no creep.
