Well just bit the bullet and ordered another rifle!

I am having a bit of trouble finding out what the spin is on this rifle any one know?

I plan on using this rifle as a paper puncher, but also a secondary deer rifle. Depending on its spin rate, what is the biggest bullet I can push though this thing and still expect some accuracy and hitting power? (I don't have access to hand loads so factory only unfortunately.)

While a lot of you might think its to small of a rifle for deer, I remind you that I live on Vancouver island and a big deer out here is not that big, With that said how far out can I expect this to still take down game. 250yards being my longest kill yet with a .308.

Range report and pictures to follow when it gets here!!!!

9-1/8" twist. You can shoot all weights up to and including the 100 grain factory loads without any issues. You should be good on those island deer right out to 300 yards or so. I lived on Vancouver Island for a while, and shot a number of those deer with my 6mm Remington, which is quite similar in performance to the 243. I never experienced any problems knocking those Blacktails down, even way out there. Regards, Eagleye

I have a 243 in the SPS-V as well and it shoots 5 shots off a rest into a easy 1/2'' at 100 yards using the 90gr. Sierra FMJ's.
