I bought one little while ago in .308 for messing around with havent shot it yet but was just wondering if i made a decent purchase i think i did i already have a sps in .270 and love it but just wondering the accuracy of it and what not i do have a bushnell 3200 tactical on it for some reason haha

yeah i would shoot it more but im to lazy to drive 5 minutes to a friends shooting range since i cant shoot at my house anymore after i shot the holiday trailer

i hope you did (make a decent purchase). cuz i just bought one too and now im waiting for the bleeping scope to get here.
cheers to the canadian postal service

I have one, good rifle for the price, just switch stock have a bipod and you will have the exact same rig as I have quit acceptable for the price!!!

they are a great rifle for the dollar, and the 700 is the best base for a project, over time get a bedded stock, quality optics, etc, and you will have a real tack driver. I actually bought another one and am looking for an aftermarket stock for it right now.

i payed 599$ for mine and i dont really have plans for putting a new stock on it maybe try to free float the barrel and glass bed it sooner or later i want a custom wood stock for my .270 though

I have had the same rifle and scope for 3 years now I just started handloading and the best group I have been able to get so far is just over 1/2 moa at 100 yards! I have noticed though that if you let the barrel heat up it throws off your groups, needs a new stock Mcmillian preferably with bedding and this should make it a tack driver! I bought it for the nice thick barrel to do a m40 build!

I had one in .223 and put a few hundred rounds through it. I liked it and it shoot well. Best groups were 1/2 MOA but repeatable groups were 1 MOA. It didn't really float my boat though because I found it too heavy to lug around when hunting coyotes. I traded it for a CZ 85 combat.

yeah i would like to do an m40 build aswell just no one around where i live makes stocks can you buy the stocks they use on the m40's and if so how much are they and i wouldnt mind throwing a schmit and bender scope on it as well

I bought one last fall as my dedicated target rifle, and it shoots great! Shoots 1/2 MOA. I removed the presure pad on the stock at the end of the forearm opened up the barrel channel and bedded the stock. If I do my part it will shoot 1/4 MOA.
I do plan to upgrade the stock because it is a little flimsy.

You can but direct from Mcmillian they take care of everything also Alberta tactical sells them , depending on what options you want I would expect to spend around $1000 .
