Remington 700 stock compatibility

Hey guys

Are all remington 700 stocks created equal?

Will a stock for a hinged floor plate model fit onto a detachable mag model? Is it just the bottom metal that differs?

The goal is to put my detachable mag 700 into the stock of a hinged floorplate model.

Stock will have to be modified a bit to fit detach mag
