Remington 700 stock on a 721

Have any of you dropped a 721 into a stock inletted for a 700? How much fiddling around does it require?

My 721 300 H&H was a drop in using a factory synthetic stock for a 700 BDL long action.
However the synthetic stock actually weighed more than the original 721 wood stock which is plain.

Thanks. Those factory synthetic BDL stocks are about 34oz iirc.

Same here, I have a 721 300 H&H in a synthetic DM stock. Decent fit.
