Does anyone have a Remington VS SF II in a 22-250 and how do you like it?
Intereted in buying one and would like owner reviews. I guess any caliber would do just want to know about the gun.
Thanks.

Here's mine in 204R. Love it. One of my most accurate rifles, very forgiving to load for. The HS stock is great once you get used to the large palm swell.

I got my hands on an unfired 22-250 VS SF. It is the model before the second edition. The gun is really nice, well balanced, clean and smooth operation. Mine is free floated from the factory and is bedded in an aluminium bedding block.

The only differences I could find was in the palm swell of the stock and the black inlay on the flutes. So naturally during the christmas break I got it set up with a temporary scope (3-9) and set out with some random hand loads. Note these where just made based on COAL used by another remington 22-250, from odds and ends of brass lying around.

I was truely impressed it shoots under 1/2 inch 'consistently' (7/9 3 shot groups) and even with different velocities!!! I kept all of the targets from the day (for the skeptics), but the basics of the targets are the same, tight groups with the largest hitting ~0.75 inches center-to-center. And with each change in charge to increase velocity, the groups just moved slowly up on the target, no really discernable scattering, yet.

Great rifle, if you are thinking about it I would certainly recommend it. Note you may want to change the trigger if you are a really finiky bench shooter. I just start the squeeze and then commit to it. If it is a new rifle with the new trigger group, then you will have no trouble with it.

Mine is probably my most accurate rifle. I have one in 22-250 and it seems to fire every load the same. The trigger is excellent.

i have a 204 and 22-250 in VSSFII that as already mentioned are very accurate and dependable
i bought one or both from Rick at Alberta tactical and had him do a black finish (phosphate maybe?) on them as i didn't like the shiny barrels for coyote hunting...the palm swell takes/took some getting used to compared to older 700VS models but it is a very nice stock when in use....

I have one in '250. I havent done any real load development for it yet, no tweaking. Just slapped some 55 grainers over some Varget. Does 3575 fps and seems to shoot ok. I hit a 8" diameter gong 5 times in a row at 460 yards my first trip out shooting.
