I have a Remington 700PSS in 308 and will be using (pretty much exclusively) Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr.

I plan on sighting it in at a friends farm this weekend, but to save rounds sighting in does anyone have ballistic data for a 700P / PSS using this sort of ammo?

Variables such as bullet drop etc would be great.

I don't think having data will save rds while sighting in, I assume you are sighting in at 100m. Using previous data for bullet drop, wind, moving targets etc will assist once sighted in however should be confirmed with each rifle. Boresighting will save rds while sighting in. There is tons of info out there regarding data the 168 FGMM.

Thanks for that.

Haven't really used this rifle. Sighting in between 100 and 400m, so really looking for data from 200+. Its more so that I can guestimate the number of clicks etc - I have bore sighted the rifle already.

I'll do a bit of googling for ballistic tables, I guess the difference should not be drastic. :)

You will still have to Zero your rifle and determine your FPS prior to building a table for your rifle- Boresighting will only get you on the paper.

The table is generic - each rifle will be a bit differant given twist, barrel length , FPS, sight height , alltitude and weather condtions (Temp , Humidity & wind)
Your data needs to be recorded in your data book - cold bore shots, zero, round counts and comes ups .
Above all shoot in all condtions and have fun

Thanks for that mjohn.

That info was useful. I was zeroed at 100m within 7 rounds, but that data helped me guess how many clicks I needed at longer ranges, and I have recorded this data. Thanks a lot!
