i was wondering if these rifles will shoot around the same as a tikka or better? also does it have a drop out magazine? and if it doesnt is therea kit for one? im thinking of getting a 233

No one can accurately predict which rifle will shoot better.....

There are aftermarket detachable magazine kits for the 700 action..

Kwik-Klip for the long action and H.S. Precision for the short action are two I know of.....
 
I have a Rem .308 LTR that seldom shoots groups that exceed 1/2" @ 100M. The only "tunning" I did was to reduce the trigger pull weight and to "fiddle" a bit with the gaurd screws.
 
Depends on the load and shooter. I honestly don't think it matters, both of them should be able to shoot under MOA. As to which one you want to build on...

Rem700P

I have a rem700p in 223, I have not touched it since it came out of the box, with the handloads it can shoot .3 inch groups. With Match federal 69gr it shoots .5 inch groups. Compared to the Tikka which I think comes in a 1 in 8 twist you may find the 1 in 9 twist of the Rem700P a bit limiting. It depends on what you want to do.
