Remington 750 woodmaster

They're fair, better than the older models, with some continued updates. The Pros: Semi-auto. The Cons: Still need to stay on top of cleaning (some people seem to think thats a big issue), and limited in what loads you can use, they dont like certain pressure curves, and dislike some of the hot-ish loads on the market. Other than that, its a gun.

My M750 is 35Whelen and works flawlessly so far. But some horror stories out there about guns that won't cycle even when new. I think if you have one that cycles it'll continue to work if cleaned well. I've never heard of a 35cal not feeding/cycling.

Also top velocity loads are doable and the pressure curve bugaboo has never reared its head yet in my experience with my two Remington semis. I use regular FL sizing dies. A few years back me and a friend both had M7400/35Whelens. With ReL15 he took his up over 2600fps with 250s without any feeding or pressure issues. I kept mine at the 2400-2500 level where it was fine. My M750 to date has only fired some pedestrian factory 250gr ammo and some light 200gr handloads. Fun gun. Must get back to shooting it now that I've scoped it.

Have 2 of them 243,308 both work flawlessly. I do clean mine regularly. Almost always loading problems will be within the mag not the gun, if the mag locks into gun proper you should have no problems. Nice wood and blueing finish, easy to take down to clean. Both mine are good shooters as well but did take alittle time to find a load they liked.

BB, these are great guns. They handle well and are pretty accurate as well. As mentioned early it is important to keep these guns clean. I had a 750 in 35 Whelen carbine, great little brush basher for Ontario hunting. I have since traded it off for something else, but never had any issues with it at all. I would recommend one.

Gawd I had a Rem 750 carbine in 35 whelen and for the life of me couldnt get it to shoot under 4" groups. Factory, reloads, it didnt matter! I shortly got rid of it. Though with my luck, it was made on one of those "Off days" ;)

Thanks guys. What I mainly wanted to know (and you have answered the question) is "will it go bang when I pull the trigger" and "will it go bang again in 1 second" with out me having to clear a stove pipe jam.....sounds like it will.

Thanks
