Remington 7600, 30-06 to .338-06?

Anyone ever do this? I was looking at a .338RCM but I miss my .35 7600. Was wondering if anyone had done this and how much $$$. Also looking at making it a .338-06 AI, I could still fire regular .338-06 right? If I understand right my .338-06 brass will just be fireformed after?

It should be a simple rebarrel job. Cost of the barrel, plus the gunsmith's time to install it and set it up. Probably $300-$500 depending upon the barrel you buy and how much work it takes to get it set up.
