I bought this 30-06 in 1984. I hunted with it every year there after until recent years. I doubt I shot 250 rounds through it. I bought a Bushnell Scope Chief 3x9 38 scope for it. Last years I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, I guess I couldn't group 4 inches with it. So I bought a new scope and took it out today. I had issues getting the scope sighted in, my dumbness, but I ended up with two rounds touching and two within a half inch. I sent the Scope Chief in for warrantee. See how that goes. I was ready to see that the rifle was kaput! Give it away! I bought a 308 but the sucker is so light that it hurts my shoulder. I shot 25 rounds out of the 30-06 today with out pain. The Remington is a keeper the 308 is a give-a-way (not to you losers).
