Remington 7615 Advice

Cool.
So can I get ar 5 round mags from the same company you gave me the link from??

Probably, but why? Run a wtb ad in the EE, I'm sure there's lots of unwanted 5 round AR mags out there. Most will be 10 or 20 round ones pinned to 5. I don't know if they make a 5 round magazine, most will be higher capacity ones that are pinned to hold 5. I don't know much about AR's, only that most buy the LAR mags as they can legally hold ten rounds. Some buy the 30 or 40 round ones pinned to 5 for the look.

Just making sure they are common before I make my decision on buying the gun or not. Thanks again:)
I have been looking for an extra 223 mag for a 760 pump for some time now don't need that with this gun. Ar stuff is all new to me:)

Your right about the mag restriction but the 7615 is a pump.Incidently, i thought these expensive lil buggers came with a 5 rounder.I was under the impression that you could have the 10 round mag but it had to be pinned to hold no more than 5.Not sure.I'm curious about the effects of the short barrel on the .223 cal in terms of accuracy and energy?

lol right I didn't notice that...LOL:redface::redface: .....carefully takes foot out of mouth just long enough to place other one in........

The remington 5 round mag is actually a 10 round with a dent into the back spine that stops the follower from going down all the way.Since mine has no iron sights i have a vortex 1.75-5 x32 scope mounted low and when fired using remington factory ammo i would get a quick burst of white fog like gas out the muzzle that would make me loose sight of the target.
The flash hider disperses the fog so i can now see the bullet hitting:) instead of a puff of white in my scope.
I've mounted an ati 870 shotgun buttstock pistol grip ar rifle type that is adjustable for length and am quite happy with what it is for walking the bush with, light and compact.

One issue with the 7615 is the mag well for the AR mags. It sticks down and makes it so that in order to pump you have to have your hand forward on the forestock otherwise your wrist will hit the mag well.
I prefer my 760 with the more flush mag as I can pump and support the rifle with my forward hand less extended which I find more solid and comfortable.
I don't think Rem makes a 7600 in .223 anymore though.

Your right they have not made one since the 760 in 223 which they stopped production in 1968. They would sell a few I think if they brought them back

The foregrip on the 7615 should come from the factory with a rail under it so a vertical grip could easily be added... that's would be the most ergonomic way to deal with the AR mag well.....

Hmmm, guess everyone holds them differently, I haven't experienced this problem at all?

The one thing I really like is the mag system is how easily and positively it engages and releases.
