Remington 78 .270 Synthetic stock

Well took my trusty Remington 78 chambered in 270, factory Remington synthetic stock , only mod to rifle is glass bedding. Just shot this 3 shot group with a fresh load i've been working on. 150 grn BTSP, 48.3 gn of IMR4831

Yup, this is a keeper !!

I am going to suggest you may be using a dangerously small amount of that powder for that cartridge. I may be wrong, but too slow with slow powders is a no-no.

Great group anyways and awesome cartridge.

***I am corrected! You are using a starting load and likely doing 2500fps. Not even close to how that cartridge can perform!
