Remington 870 Express Synthetic 7 Shot magazine spring question.

I have a Remington 870 Express Synthetic 7 Shot, the new one with a one piece 6 shot magazine tube. I replaced the cheap follower by one from S&J hardware, the follower come with a magazine spring, the original Remington spring is 19" long but the S&J spring is 29" long, do I have to cut it to fit the magazine if yes how much would I need to cutoff?

They probably sell them as "max length" for use with any length of tube extension. Pretty sure you'll have to cut it, otherwise you'll get spring stack before you get full capacity.

I'd ask S&J, they probably can tell you exactly how long to cut it to still retain your full magazine capacity.
