Remington 870 for low light

I have a Remington 870 tactical express. I want to attach a flashlight to the forestock to shoot in low light. What's a cost effective way to do that and what's the process? In terms of where to buy part and how to replace it.

A surefire x300 or a surefire scout light

Is the fab defense one a good option?

With the magpul moe one, does the light attach directly to the for end or does a short picatinny piece attach to the slot?

I run x300 ultra on magpul moe. There is a 1.5 " rail the bolts onto the grip

How many threads does this topic need.... ? Looks like this one has better legs then the one I replied to.
The link in the other thread to Wolverine was/is a fair price for the Fabarm.
If you like the look of the magpull go for it you will just have to add rails where you want them.

Surefire fore end is the best option if you don't mind the cost.

Really if you NEED low light performance cost should NOT be a factor.

If it's just for fun then yeah, strap on a cheap light via mount and screw it into the hand guard of your choice.

Don't attach anything to the pump. Having your light moving back and forth sucks when you're trying to maintain a sight picture in the dark.

Get this simple device for $15. It attaches easily to the end of your mag-tube. You can then attach any picatinny light you wish.

A fair enough argument, however, as a matter of preference I like having constant contact with the controls. And as it's a sliding action I would rather contact with the controls and not rely on a wired remote.

I'm not a fan of those clamp type mounts but then, not everyone finds the SF forends to their liking. But until you've tried one.....Clamp type mounts VS integrated forends are apples and oranges. That being said, one of the reasons they cost what they do, is reliability. But in the event they do fail, the second reason they cost what they do, is a lifetime warranty with no BS customer service.
