Not to mention, if you "really" need an extra round, I think just holding the extra round and dropping it in the chamber after the last round ejects would be fast and safer.

Also after pumping out 6-7 rounds of 12g at whatever you were shooting at, really shouldn't be a threat anymore.......

The lifter on the 590 retracts up into the carrier/slide when the action is closed; in short, there is no lifter to "ghost load" a round.

Something I just found out Well for now i'll just have to be satisfied with 8+1, i'm thinking S&J +1 down the road. I'd like to try out an 870 ghost loaded though, it's a nice feature on some semi's

It's a nice feature if your using for shooting sports, if your at a port pretty much useless though.
