Remington 870 Special Field

I have a remington 870 Special field with a 21" VR barrel and rem chokes that can fire 3" shells, I was wondering if I can fire steel shot with this gun, any help would be appreicated.

Yes - should be no issue. I've shot lots of steel through mine without issue.

Make sure if you're using full choke, that you have one rated for lead AND steel. I think there are (or used to be) full chokes for lead only.
