Hi..
I'm sure it's been asked once or twice, I'm interested in a new shotgun.. I already have an 870 express, 28" barrel, nothing fancy..
I was checking out the Tactical version on Wanstalls, seems like a nice deal, good price, too.

Anyone have any input on these?

Mine is decent. I had feeding issues with the factory mag spring though. I bought an aftermarket one and the problem went away. First thing I did was get rid of the goofy breaching attatchment and pop in a Mod. choke. Sights are nice.

I was thinking the same thing, where did you buy your chokes from?

I have one its great, they due tend to rust a bit easy though with that cheap finish on them so just make sure to clean/wipe it down with lightly oiled cloth after using it. I'll probably send mine in and get it armor coated this winter and it will last a lifetime.

^ yes, the finish is very light. I left mine cased for a couple days after shooting in the Fall and nearly all of the exterior was covered in a very thin coat of rust.

ya i haven't had any rust issues with mine either, but my friend has the same one and his rusted some at the end of the barrel. So i just oil mine before i head out with it and when i get home.

My express was a rust bucket "Remingtons fault for blueing over a sand blast part" Blueing really works best on smooth metal "less porous"

I would go with a Parkerized 870P or just dura-coat an express "express are good guns and cheap"

I dura-coated my 870 and it was fantasic "but along came benelli ;)"
