So i picked up a new 14" NEA Bull barrel for my 870, and now in order to get the bolt to lock up I have to slam the pump forward, and slam the pump back to release it. Has anyone had this same problem? And this happens with or without a round in the chamber. Im starting to think its the distance between the mouth of the breech and the back of the bolt lock up is to short and thats why its hard to ingage and disengage. But I would like to hear from someone that had this problem. Before i start removing metal. Thanks any help would be Awesome!
Thanks

I had to modify the sh1t out of my NEA barrel so my bolt would lock up on my grizzly.
There has been numerous posts about NEA quality so I'll leave it at that .
Iv seen a few posts about the quality too.
What modifications did You do?
To get my bolt to lock, i can slide it forward and watch it start to lock, but then i have to push it forwad even more to get it to fully lock. And when i say push it forward, im putting some serious force on the fore end.

Well if you are using it on a Remington receiver & it won't lock up I'd send it back for warranty . NEA say their barrel only fits a Remington receiver . Mine would fit my Remington but not my Grizzly . My Remington barrel fit both . I used a dermal & carefully polished the part of the barrel where the bolt locking lug engages . Just enough so it would lock up
