REMINGTON 870 Youth

can i put a pistol grip for a regular 870 on the youth model, does the receiver(youth) have the same dimensions as the normal 870?

I may be wrong but I believe the only differance is the length of pull on the stock.

I thought that the youth model was on a 410 or 20 gauge frame?

I believe you are both right. On 870 youth in 12g, the only difference is the shorter length of pull. On the 870 youth in 20g or .410, it's a smaller receiver and therefore, not compatible with regular 870 accessories.
