Remington 878 Automaster Piston Stud

Was about to put my Automaster back together this afternoon after getting some parts rounded up. Went to put the piston back together with the replacement stud I sourced and noticed the threads in the original nut are less then stellar. Does anyone happen to know the thread size and if its standard or a Remington only thread? Would like to see if I can repair the threads in the nut if possible or if the hunt begins for another one.

Stop by your local gunsmith and have him measure the pitch and diameter... A pitch gauge is one of the first things a 'smith' buys...

Thanks guntech, I figured out its 32 TPI with the pitch gauges I have. Just having difficulty with the diameter. Seems to fall in between a couple of the common sizes.
